Although the value is high in black 1.36 cd/m2, contrast suffers and is only 136:1. This is not particularly impressive and there is a clear need for improvement. In addition, we found that the brightness is automatically reduced in battery mode during our tests. When the computer is connected to a power, the center has a brightness of 222 cd/m2.

The rate drops to 181 cd/m2 in battery mode. This results in a loss of brightness by nearly 20 percent. The processor has a very low power at 2.5 GHz by default. The processor will also be able to overclock at different levels of performance should be tight.

Single core can be overclocked up to 3.2GHz, if necessary. Clock speed can be increased to 3.0 GHz, both cores would be needed. The processor is also suitable for complex tasks, such as HD video editing or 3D games, because of its capacity. The CPU has nothing more strenuous than the smaller models, a TDP of 35 watts.

However, the Intel Core i5-2520m enjoy more than 35 watts, for example, an Intel Core i5-2410M. The processor is also suitable for laptops with a screen 14 inches or more, because the TDP of 35 watts.

Intel HD 3000 graphics card supports the contents screen show. It is integrated directly into the processor, and therefore do not need additional cooling. Although not one of the most powerful graphics cards on the market, it may well compete with entry-level card that Nvidia GeForce 310 million.

A major advantage of the Intel graphics HD 3000 is also before the low power consumption and performance. However, it is possible to play older games smoothly on the graphics card. A couple of new games can also be done smoothly, but a net loss of resolution and quality must be accepted.

Unfortunately, we must use 32-bit versions of our benchmark programs, as only a 32-bit version of Windows 7 was installed on our Dell Latitude E5520, but the laptop normally offered by the 64-bit version of Windows 7 in online shops as well as directly on the Dell.

Latitude E5520 is far enough ahead with 8820.0 points in Cinebench R10 rendering multi (32 bit) reference. Latitude E5520 again scores well in comparison with laptops that use the same processor. The top model with Core i5-2520m processor, the Toshiba Tecra R840-11F (2520m, HD 3000 Graphics) with the 8858th

0 points in the Cinebench R10 benchmark performed multiple. Therefore, taking the top model of the Dell Latitude E5520 is not particularly large.
