Packard Bell EasyNote TS11 HR-040UK Review

We will see more closely the model of Packard Bell in this review. Packard Bell is the same as many other manufacturers, sent two hand-held game. We see a strong alternative to the Intel Core i5. We had one built on the revision Packard Bell EasyNote TS11 long ago.

He still had a quad core Core i7 processor and a dedicated graphics card then. They have been omitted for Test! Campaign 2011. The TS11 test-HR-158GE is the same case, which is why we refer to the previous survey in respect of parts of the business, communication, keyboard and touchpad.

Update: TS11, Packard Bell in this review is given TS11-050GE in Germany and is available only for MediMax chains during the campaign. This is why research on the Internet incorrectly stated the HR-040UK (UK only). The name of the German model TS11 050GE.

Display
Packard Bell EasyNote TS11 continues to equip with a 15.6 inch screen with LED backlight. Nothing has changed in terms of resolution is. It is still 1366x768 pixels. The aspect ratio of 16:9, and is therefore very appropriate to do a lot of DVD movies without black bars too.

EasyNote TS11 to obtain acceptable prices thanks to LED backlighting. The maximum brightness is 214 cd/m2, no longer anything special. The average brightness of 203.7 cd/m2, is also typical in the past at the time. Other laptops are moving in completely different areas, although the prices are acceptable low-cost device.

The backlight 86 percent is also acceptable. The value of 1.21 cd/m2 black is quite high and low gloss, the result is a contrast of 168:1 only. It looks like the screen has TS11 EasyNote changed since our last review.

The two graphs almost similar, 100% when the color of our last test against the current. The current sample can not make the color space Adobe RGB or sRGB color spectrum completely. The non-professional user should not be impressed by this, however.

TS11 EasyNote not perform outdoors. The average brightness, glare and low contrast of the display to avoid seeing anything, when the sunlight is shining directly on the screen. It should ideally look for a shady place so that the contents of the display remains readable, at least so far.

TS11 EasyNote Both models do not vary much on the stability of viewing angles, either. Many people can still see everything on the screen horizontally. Invert the colors very quickly and the image becomes unrecognizable vertical. However, most of the screens embedded in laptops in this price range behave this way.

Connectivity
Almost no change is made on the connectivity options of the laptop since our last test. Just one USB 3.0 port has been replaced by an extra USB 2.0 port. Otherwise there is no change to the connection.

They are still positioned very far from the front of the laptop, which can quickly lead wires for connecting peripherals is in your way next to the laptop. In particular, the USB ports are located far away from the front, and that also belong to the most commonly used connections, the cable may cause a mess.

Performance
The processor mid-range dual core Intel i5-2410M is the heart of the system. It is the newest bridge architecture of sand. In collaboration with Intel HD 3000 Graphics, it is also the main topic of Test! Campaign 2011. The processor has a clock speed of 2.3 GHz. Thank you to 2.0 Turbo Boost, it can be overclocked dynamically in several stages of the system should be more power is needed.

The two levels are as follows: 2.6 GHz (2 cores loaded), respectively, 2.9 GHz (1 core). Turbo Boost function is used only when adequate cooling is ensured, however. Terms of performance, 2410M i5 can be positioned at about the same level as the Core i5-560M with a 2.7 to 3.2 GHz So, i5-2410M is a good all-round processor, which is perfectly adequate for Most cellular activities.

The processor is responsible for the current standard of Intel's TDP (thermal design power) 35 watts and has a relatively low energy consumption. Another significant advantage of the processor is built into the graphics card. Thus, a separate chip needs no installation and energy is also saved. However, components that do not consume much energy not usually stand out in performance, either. It is also the case with Intel Graphics HD 3000. He was also a little more designed to perform basic tasks.

These include surfing, editing Office documents or playing Internet video streams. Playing tracks 3D development is not the scope of this graphics card. However, the graphics card is totally unsuitable for gaming. However, you have to compromise in terms of resolution and detail. In return, they are often rewarded with a long battery life. Details of the performance of HD 3000 graphics games can be found on our detail page for the GPU.
