Performance
The material in the G7, is not limited by much except for your own imagination. The wide range of processors allow you to customize thoroughly to fit your needs. In addition to the Intel processors are AMD and Intel new line of processors available for the Sandy Bridge G7. The model we reviewed, is equipped with an AMD Phenom X4 Quad-P960 heart.

Driving on a core clock speed of 1.8 GHz with only 2 MB of L2 cache can be seen as a cheap (but relatively small) possibility of multi-core processors. If you are looking for more power, the new Sandy Bridge processors that are produced by the ultra-modern 32-nm process, may be the way to go with their fast recovery of data from the L3 cache. AMD Phenom is in the particular configuration, we review here, only manages a performance comparable to the previous generation of Intel mobile, however.

Turning to the graphics card, things get a little more interesting. In addition to the edge AMD Radeon HD 4250 graphics card, we find the AMD Radeon HD 6470M dedicated graphics card with 1 GB of RAM. With 160 stream processors, UVD3 video decoding and DirectX 11 support, this GPU proudly wearing the latest graphics technologies.

The graphic manual change cards are not the most convenient way to achieve a good balance between energy efficiency and powerful graphics rendering. In the Catalyst Control Center, you can switch between which of the two GPUs are active.

The new AMD PowerShell 4.0 XpressMusic aka BACON (auto switchable graphics) is not installed. But as Bacon is a bit more of a prototype, it's probably a good thing that you must manually change the graphics card that works perfectly, by the way.

The first test we ran in the performance of the processor. Single-core performance is particularly limited because of the lack of L3 cache. The Cinebench R10 (64-bit) Maxon reference only confirms this. Earn 1922 points only, the classification of the CPU in place here in the lower third of our entire database. A very similar scores are manufactured by Intel Core i3-330M.

The current dominant model, Core i5-2410M, it runs 57.2% faster at 4493 points. Rendering Multi-Thread, includes the AMD here in the pace and places closer to average with 6649 points. The new AMD Llano APU A6-3410MX-in HP Pavilion dv6 6110eg earn 7198 points (+7.6%). The alternative dual-core i5 is even faster (+ 29.9%). Even Intel starter current model Intel Core i3-2310M is a bit faster than the P960 (+ 9.3%).
