Case
If the laptop is kept in the classic black and white. The materials used are mostly plastic, but the look does not suffer from that. The shell of this model is black wrist rest, and the sides are silver and search - in the same style as the Celsius H710 model - as if they were worn by use.

Making the laptop is good, just stability suffers from plastics used. Demerits are given for the back cover of the screen cover, which can be pushed too easily. The screen cover is easy to open with one hand without the base of the laptop trying to follow.

As part of the screen is held by two hinges with an iron hand, and even with great force, is bent slightly. When closed, the hinges of the screen provide a grip too low, resulting in the frame of the screen by clicking on the base.

Fujitsu LifeBook E751 weighs 5.5 pounds (2.5 kg), including a 6-cell battery. The power adapter adds another 1 pound (450 grams). At 14 2 / 3 "x9 2 / 3" x1 3 / 8 "(35x372x245 mm) External dimensions are larger than most laptops with the screen size, with the exception of thin models.

Connectivity
As for interfaces, just about everything imaginable is built in. What can not be found is covered by the included docking station. The number of connectors is impressive and allows each common task. There are 3 USB connectors for external devices, one USB 3.0.

On the right side, one of the USB connectors offer "Every time I-USB-Charge" functionality, allowing you to charge mobile phones, MP3 players and other electronic devices while the notebook is off.

There are 3 USB connectors for external devices, one of which is compatible with USB 3.0 and one to the right, sport "Every time you charge USB" functionality. This allows you to charge mobile phones, MP3 players and other electronic devices when the laptop is off.

Other interfaces available in the LifeBook E751 is an eSATA / USB combo, Gigabit LAN RJ45 one, an old RS232 serial port as well as usual inputs / outputs for headphones and microphone. On the sides, there is also an ExpressCard/54 slot and a Smart Card reader for use with things such as credit cards or insurance. For an external monitor, video port Lifebook E751 sight, and the old D-sub analog VGA.

Fujitsu is the placement of the connectors is acceptable and they are all easily accessible and the layout is logical. Two USB connectors are located too close together, however, stick may be thick or USB drives will not be possible to connect both simultaneously.

The card reader on the front of the base is compatible with SD / MMC and MS / MS PRO, but lacks a dust cover, exposure to environmental hazards. This problem can be mitigated by maintaining a MemoryStick Pro card connected to it, in fact, is the seal. Fujitsu was able to think about this in the engineering phase of the E751.

They found a clever enough solution with modular drive slot on the side, in this model, the houses of the DVD, but otherwise a second battery, hard drive, SSD, or Blue-Ray writer can be redeemed as needed. Those who prefer simply to reduce the weight of the laptop can simply install a plastic cover empty.

Communications
Fujitsu LifeBook E751 offers several ways to get on the net: Gigabit RJ45 interface for wired and WiFi 802.11 b / g / n dual antenna for wireless connections. In addition, the LifeBook E751 sports Bluetooth 3.0 and integrated 3G/UMTS radio, which had a SIM card in it, as mentioned above.

Three rates are available for LifeBook E751 in Germany: a daily charge of € 2.95 is from 0:00 to 0:00, a monthly "flat 500" at 9.95 megabyte transferred with a 500 and a second month "5000 Package" with 5GByte transferred to 24.95 euros. There is no SIM lock, so all SIM cards from local suppliers of their choice may be used.

Input Devices

Keyboard
Fujitsu LifeBook E751 features a white, a QWERTY keyboard with spill-resistant keys 106 and a separate numeric keypad. The full-size keyboard uses the full width of the laptop and it was easy to type in our test. The arrow keys are very small, such as Fujitsu Celsius H710, among many others. Fujitsu posted six special keys on the keyboard.

One of the keys, for example, immediately blocks the operating system. Another key to open a menu with a direct selection of presets for different power settings. Yet another special key that leads directly to the network management screen. Among the "GHB" buttons, there is a point on the route, which can be used instead of the mouse.

Touchpad
In front of the keyboard, you will find an area with a touchpad supports gestures tuberculosis. The scroll area which is often found on the right edge of the touch pad that is missing on this laptop. Gliding around the surface of the touch pad works fine, you can feel each button.

The front has two buttons act as - you guessed it - the mouse buttons. The fingerprint sensor is located between them. Touchpad can be disabled with "Fn + F4" key combination. The fact that the two points and always follow touchpad on / off set is pretty boring, though.

Webcam
Focused on the screen above the HD + has a 1.3 megapixel webcam for Skype or other software you want.

Display
Our version of the ES LifeBook E751 features a 16.6-inch LED-backlit, which boasts a resolution of 1600x900 pixels (HD +) in the usual 16:9. Fujitsu also offers the E751 series notebook HD panels just simply showing only 1366x768 pixels, which is less than ideal for working in sight of all the word processing document.

The display panel is reflected almost perfectly mate. Additional screens can be connected via VGA display port, which allows working with multiple screens simultaneously. The contents of office may be located on the screens or cloned, to show the same on each monitor or projector.

The video output is handled by the integrated Intel GPU HD 3000, which does not have its own video memory, so it has to borrow what they need from the system RAM.

With a maximum brightness, we took nine steps and took values between 176 and 207 cd / m² (average 190.2 cd / m²). Distribution of brightness was 85%. The measured value of 0.26 in black cd / m² maximum brightness resulted in an excellent contrast of 785:1

Visually, the colors of HD displays to impress and is alive. The measured color is slightly offset from the reference values for sRGB, Apple RGB. As for the image to Adobe RGB color space, we're not even close to matching him. (Left photo)

Outside, the contents of the 15 .6 "HD screen was easy to see even in direct sunlight. But you have to be directly in front of the laptop, the screen brightness actually be considerably higher. (See photo )

Although the intensity of the color of our test fell outside of the video, the colors were still recognizable. Fujitsu E751 working outdoors vPro / UMTS was possible in all circumstances, but the second CD would have made the 50-100 looks a lot better.

Viewing Angle Fujitsu LifeBook E751 are not so great: only the best views of front or slightly to the sides were content to present contrasts offer recognizable enough.

In our viewing angle of mandatory testing, where the phone is rotated horizontally by 45 degrees in either direction on the screen remains easy to see. Screen rotation to the vertical of 45 degrees up or down, the image quickly to clarify or UPS.

Performance
The LifeBook E751 vPro / UMTS is equipped with Intel i7 Core 2620m sand bridge with 4 MB Level 3 cache. This dual core processor has 624 million transistors on a 149 mm ² DIE, using Intel's 32 nm High-K technology. Thank you Hyper Threading support, it can handle four threats simultaneously.

Its running at 2.7 GHz with turbo boost overclocking individual cores at 3.4 GHz, if necessary, as long as sufficient cooling keeps the chip within its thermal envelope. Intel has also integrated its DirectX 10 capable GPU HD 3000 and the memory controller into the processor.

Synchronization errors in the interfaces was not detected by our software DPC Latency Checker. As our screenshots show, none of these measures has hit with a red bar, so no restrictions in the field of audio and video processing should not be feared.

In Cinebench R10 Rendering Single (64 bits) for Lifebook E751 concluded with 4684 points. In Cinebench R10 Rendering Multi (64 bit) laptop Fujitsu Reference scored 11,135 points, a good performance. For Cinebench R11.5 (64-bit CPU design) it does not seem worse than 3.0 points.

With reference system PC Mark 6790 Vantage scored, put it in the mid-range laptops with 2620m Core i7 tested so far. LIFEBOOK E751 fits perfectly between Acer TravelMate 8573TG TimelineX HP EliteBook 8460p and our lists of performance.

In the last tool Benchmark PC Mark 7 Our test system being marked 2195 and is located between the HP EliteBook 8460p and the Acer TravelMate TimelineX 8573TG again.

Intel has made significant improvements in terms of graphics performance for Sandy Bridge HD 3000 GPU than the Intel GMA Series sad. This integrated GPU is responsible for the entry-level discrete graphics chips, such as the Nvidia GeForce 310M, for example. Thank you for Turbo Boost, the GPU is clocked dynamic range 650 MHz and 1200 MHz Furthermore, the GPU getting L3 CPU cache.

Video and 3D performance with Intel HD 3000 GPU and the Fujitsu Lifebook E751 is slightly different than expected results, with the exception of the 3D Mark 06 3D Mark 2001SE: 11 784, in 3D Mark 03: 7299, 3D Mark 05: 4788, 3D Mark 06: 3624. Comparable notebooks: Toshiba Tecra R840-11E or the HP 6460b ProBook LG6445EA.

Hard Drive Performance
TOSCHIBA MK5061GSYN model offers a 500 GB hard drive, and running 7.200 RPM Cache 16MByte. The average transfer rate has been tested in HD Tune Pro 56.3 MB / sec Access time 18.2 ms, hovered. CPU utilization was shockingly high by 29.3 percent.

Disable all processes of the factory installed and activated, provided no relief. Other testing software such as "Disk Benchmark" AIDA (formerly Everest) showed the CPU load over 29 percent as well. HD Tune Pro transfer curve has been very uneven, showing two long spikes up and down was recorded. It is not normal, leading to low average measured values.

Gaming Performance
We have already found in other laptops that you can play games with a HD 3000 integrated GPU, which Lenovo L420 NYV4UGE ProBook 6460b LG645EA or if you can not avoid the pain.

Fujitsu E751 vPro / UMTS will allow you to do the same. To see how the GPU HD 3000 makes this 15.6-inch laptop we tested four games. "Dirt 3", has given us the ability to run a few laps in the snow, but the frame rate improved by low resolution and detail settings.

Intel GPU completely failed with Mafia 2 game is unplayable at any resolution settings / details. FIFA 11 and Trackmania Nations Forever, however, played as expected, the frame rate matched the measured values in our database.

Emissions

System Noise
Depending on the CPU, the cooling system of the LifeBook to work very hard. At idle, the fan is barely audible to 32.5 dB (A). With DVD playback, increased noise levels of 38 dB (A). Under load, the fan had to be accelerated, reaching a maximum value of 41 dB (A). Fan noise is lost in the room with the distance and not be heard again, once you get a few meters.

Temperature
Even at idle, the bottom of the laptop up to 36.7 degrees C (98 F) in some places. This value is not repeated in the upper surface, but the temperatures rose to 31.4 degrees Celsius (89 F) in the center of the touch screen. Under load, the surface temperature has increased significantly. A maximum of 44.8 degrees Celsius (113 F) was measured on the left side where the vent cooling system.

The power supply is taxed as well, and we measured 53 degrees Celsius (127 F) compared to 31.6 degrees Celsius (89 F) at idle.

Speakers
The two small speakers located above the keyboard on the left and right, could not convince us, when you test LifeBook E751 laptop. Music sounds natural and metal, even at low volume. The more you turn up the volume, more music is soup. These two "noise polluters" are only suitable for reading the system messages or voice output.

Battery life
In standby mode, the Fujitsu laptop draws 0.7 watts when using only 0.2 watts. Idle (maximum brightness of the screen, without the energy and radio Wi-Fi enabled) up to 17.2 watts from the mains. Load (maximum brightness of the screen, without the energy and radio Wi-Fi enabled), we measured the maximum power consumption is 66.6 watts. You can feel the effect of touching the power supply, which heats up to 127 F.

The Fujitsu LifeBook is equipped with a 6-cell Li-Ion 6200 mA and White 67. In our first race with the BatteryEater "Classic Test" (maximum brightness, wireless radio activated), battery operation recorded an hour and one minute.

In the "test drive" with maximum energy saving wireless radios and minimum brightness, the battery lasts for 382 minutes. Surfing the WiFi connection is possible for 3 hours and 46 minutes, with the screen brightness to a comfortable level.

DVD playback is executed for 1 hour and 52 minutes with all power-saving radios and wireless disabled. The cycle of the battery charge lasts 140 minutes and after 90 minutes, was charged with 85 percent, the remaining 15 percent takes another 60 minutes.

Verdict
Design, materials and extent of delivery of the Fujitsu LifeBook E751 vPro / UMTS has convinced almost all areas. This notebook was designed for the mobile office and Internet applications, is underscored by the integrated UMTS module and SIM card slot.

The laptop is equipped with an anti-glare 15.6-inch LED lit HD monitor with improved resolution of 1600x900 pixels, suitable for the sale of office and field.

Excellent internal values of the second generation of Intel dual-core Sandy Bridge is based on the Core i7 2620m 2.7 GHz clock speed and the integrated Intel GPU HD 3000, 4GB of RAM and DVD-ROM drive.

Only Toshiba 500GB 2.5 "HDD can not be tested and the effect of slowing the entire system, as well as causing a significant CPU load. BETWEEN 1 and 5 percent of the CPU load is normal for hard drives , this model would be 29 percent CPU load. We could not ascertain whether it was a defective unit.
